Hi... great article. When we have a vague idea of what we want to achieve in our life... we are unlikely to make any major changes. Vague goals lead to vague results -- I know when I'm not clear and specific about things my behaviour is very wishy and all over the place. I'm not focused and it takes me so much longer to get to my destination.

Setting off in a ship with no direction is not a wise choice. Sailing vaguely in the direction of France is not the same as setting sail for Calais. Specificity is a critical piece of goal setting success.

SMART - I always find that anything one desires to acheive can be boiled down to 2 things - having a system and following through. The following through the action phase is key and very important. No amount of plans can come to fruition without the Action phase.
