Champions Always Know “Down and Distance”
Every Championship quarterback always knows where they are on the field of play. To reach your goal in the fourth quarter you’ll also need to know where you are on the field. This video gives some great insights, using the analogy to the football principle of “down and distance.”

This is great! It is a good way to explain it. Goal Setting and achieving those goals is now so fun for me now that I know how.

Vic,
Thank-you for taking the time to do the work that you do. It is appreciated.
If one’s heart isn’t in the ‘goal’ – it is time to find a new goal. I had an experience this week of an associate that was burnt out and unwilling to accept responsibility for his actions. And this is a key step in the process of making progress as so you rightly point out.
The same day I was speaking to a group of engineers and innovators and the ‘lightbulbs’ were all present yet many of them not perhaps switched on.
In your work, in our work- in everyone’s work, visions, goals, and dreams-we cannot push pieces of string we can only pull them.
Are we pushing or pulling? Are we a radiator or a drain? Are we a life-sucker or a life-giver? Are we a builder or a destroyer?
I think many people seek to learn how to develop and direct passion, and worthwhile endeavour, as the key social processes around us day to day are designed to foster mediocrity.
Keep fighting for the underdogs, and those ‘balls of fire’ that will make and shape their’s and other’s futures.
Best Regards,

If you’d like a tool for setting your goals, you can try this application:
http://www.Gtdagenda.com
You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, schedules and a calendar.
A mobile version and iCal are available too.
Hope you like it.

Vic,
Great video. It has been my experience that this is where most people will throw in the towel for their yearly goals depending on whether they feel that they think they can make it or not.
But when you re-focus yourself on your yearly goals in the last quarter, even if you fall short on them, you are starting the new year off with such momentum that the next year is better than the last couple of years.
Vic, Thanks for sharing the great information.
Here’s to your LifetoSucess,
